Why should you become involved with NNECOS?

Dedicated Leadership

Under the dedicated leadership of community and academic oncologists, as well as non-physician members of the oncology care team, NNECOS offers timely information, as well as outstanding networking, educational, and collaborative opportunities to professionals from across the region. NNECOS is the premiere professional, not-for profit society for members of oncology care teams across  northern New England.

Regional Collaborative Projects

Recognizing the importance of professional collaboration in the provision of high quality oncology care, NNECOS is a leader in and proud sponsor of ground breaking regional research projects through annually budgeted funds. Past projects include studying access to care and barriers to clinical trials participation.

Educational Meetings

NNECOS offers its members three educational meetings annually: a one day educational meeting in the spring, paired with an OCN review course, and a two-day annual educational conference in the fall, which includes abstract presentation opportunities and continuing education credit. A blend of clinical, scientific, practice management, and oncology nursing sessions offer something for everyone!

Support for Young Professionals

Fellows and other young professionals beginning their careers in oncology are a vital component of NNECOS. Complimentary membership, fellow-specific educational sessions, abstract presentation opportunities, and travel grants to facilitate participation in our highly regarded annual educational meeting are just a few of the benefits offered.

Your active participation will assure quality cancer care for the citizens of Northern New England.
